Baltimore City Council Recognizes Volunteers for the Barclay Greenmount Spring Sweep
Baltimore, Md. (July 13, 2011)---The Baltimore City Council officially recognized the more than 30 volunteers who participated in the April 30, 2011 Spring Sweep to remove litter, sweep the sidewalks and other clean up tasks in the neighborhood surrounding the Barclay Greenmount Apartments, owned by Greater Baltimore AHC., Inc., (GBAHC) a developer of affordable apartment communities in the greater Baltimore region.
Carl Stokes, councilman for the 12th District, was a special guest at the recent meeting of the Northwest Greenmount Community Association where he presented the personalized certificates to the Spring Sweep volunteers in attendance. The certificate reads:
Be it hereby known to all that the City of Baltimore offers its sincerest congratulations to (name of volunteer) in recognition of your participation in Barclay Greenmount Spring Sweep and making Baltimore a cleaner city.
The entire membership extends best wishes on this memorable occasion and directs this resolution to be presented on this 30th day of April.

"We are already planning next year's Spring Sweep and know that the residents of Barclay Greenmount Apartments will once again be generous with their time for this annual effort to help keep the neighborhood clean and well maintained."

Projects include Barclay Greenmount, Greenspring Overlook, Kirkwood House, Lansdowne Apartments, and MonteVerde, a high-rise with 301 affordable apartments primarily for senior residents in Lower Park Heights. Additionally, GBAHC purchased Union Rowe, 72 one to three-bedroom apartments with renovations that got underway this Spring.
