Energy Efficiency Education Program is Underway at Barclay Greenmount Apartments

Baltimore, Md. (January 12, 2012)---An energy efficiency education program for residents of Barclay Greenmount Apartments is being conducted  this week by a partnership of the City of Baltimore's Green and Healthy Home initiative’s AmeriCorps volunteers. Barclay Greenmount, with a total of 139 apartments, is owned by AHC Greater Baltimore, a private developer of affordable housing communities in the greater Baltimore region.

“The residents are receiving tips on how best to use their new programmable thermostats, recently installed as part of the city's Weatherization Plus program.  The onsite meetings with individuals also includes sharing other ideas to reduce their energy use towards the goal of lowering energy costs that we all know can be expensive,” said Allison Pendell Jones, assistant director of resident services.
